Major Accomplishments
In our seventeen year history we have educated, trained and mentored to over 5000 inner-city youth and their families, through our performing arts disciplines, productions and our community outreach efforts. Throughout our sixteen years in existence The Performing Arts For Life And Education Foundation (PALEF) has created and presented new World Premiere musicals, including “As They Like It…The Clown Musical”, funded in part by The City of Los Angeles, The Puffin Foundaion, The Los Angeles Department of Cultural Affairs, The General Mills Foundation and various other corporate sponsors and foundations. This musical adaptation is based on Shakespeare’s “As You Like It”. Ours is geared for the entire family, and presented free of charge to kids of all ages throughout our season. To celebrate our fifteenteh year of existence, P.A.L.E.F. presented another World Premiere, 50’s style musical adaptation of the Shakespearean Classic “Much Ado About Nothing”. We renamed the piece, “Much Ado ‘Bout Voodoo”. The adaptation is set to original 1950’s music, resplendent in costumes and mannerisms of the period.

In the Spring of 2012 we will embarke on a major two- year project entitled
"The Funkified Shakespearean Trilogy", designed to tour all season long.
